At RBC Dominion Securities, we know that “community” is something we all create. As individuals, families, businesses, and partners, our contributions to our community come back to us in spades, and enrich the lives of everyone in our region. We are always involved in activities, events, and causes that benefit Sault Ste. Marie. Here are a few of the organizations we support.
In recognition of International Women's Day on March 8, the Sault Ste Marie Branch of RBC Wealth Management is helping support and celebrate the women in Sault Ste Marie by making a $2,500 donation to Pauline's Place. Pauline's Place is a 19 bed shelter that provides emergency short term housing for youth, women, and families who are experiencing a housing crisis. Pauline's Place addresses homelessness for Youth (male ages 16-17, female ages 16-21), Women, and Families by providing temporary emergency shelter and basic necessities such as food, clothing, and hygiene products. With the help of external supports, we further assist clients to secure and maintain permanent housing.
The Sault Ste Marie Branch of RBC Dominion Securities donated $5000 to the St Vincent Place Food Bank. Our gift will make it possible for The Sault Ste Marie Food Bank to distribute emergency bags, consisting of non–perishable goods, fresh food and produce, personal care items, and essentials like baby formula, and diapers. It is one small way that we can support our local community during this challenging time.
The Sault Ste Marie Branch of RBC Wealth Management is proud to donate $2500 to our local CMHA chapter. CMHA – Sault Ste.Marie/Algoma Branch is committed to promoting recovery, good mental health and wellness in our community. Through the delivery of programs and services with a recovery oriented approach, CMHA builds capacity within the community in order for individuals to have an increased understanding about mental illness and mental health and obtain the support they are seeking.
If you know of an organization that is working hard to make our community a better place, we would love to hear about it.
